Deep beneath the ocean, Petite Ondine dreams of a world beyond the one she knows. Determined to reach the surface and choose her own path, she makes a deal with the Sea Witch that will require her to leave a part of herself behind.
Freely inspired by Andersen’s famous fairy tale, Anaïs Pellin’s adaptation introduces a curious and independent Petite Ondine who is ready to push beyond the limits placed upon her. Blending object theatre with a rich musical world, this production for young audiences explores self-discovery, the desire for freedom and the search for one’s place in the world.

Anaïs Pellin
Anaïs Pellin is an actor, creator, puppeteer and playwright. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Mons in acting, she also holds a master’s degree in theatre studies from UCLouvain. She has worked on numerous productions in Europe and Canada. Based in Vancouver, she collaborates regularly with Théâtre la Seizième and founded Kleine Compagnie in 2020, where she develops works combining theatre and object theatre, including Clémentine and Petite Ondine. Her writing for young audiences has earned her several awards from the Fondation pour l’avancement du théâtre francophone au Canada.
