Three spaces tailored to your needs

Multipurpose Room

Are you looking to rent a versatile room in Saskatoon? Filled with natural light, our multi-purpose room is ideal for rehearsals, meetings, workshops, training sessions, celebrations, and creative projects. Accommodating approximately 40 people depending on the setup, it offers free Wi-Fi and a large garage door that makes it easy to move equipment and bulky items.

Ian C. Nelson Studio

The Ian C. Nelson Studio is our largest space for rent in Saskatoon. Accommodating approximately 90 people, it is suitable for a wide range of productions, rehearsals, workshops, and events. Equipped with a cyclorama, a projector, a raised tech booth, backstage access, two dressing rooms, and reconfigurable or removable bleachers, the Studio offers all the flexibility you need to bring your projects to life.

Conference Room

Our Saskatoon conference room offers a bright, easily reconfigurable space that can accommodate approximately 12 people. It is ideal for meetings, training sessions, work or committee meetings, and small celebrations. It includes a built-in screen and projector, free Wi-Fi, a hands-free phone, as well as sliding doors and blinds to adapt the space and light to your needs.

Rental policies

Renters agree to comply with the following rental policies.

The renter:

  1. Will be responsible for their materials, equipment, etc., and will not hold La Troupe du Jour liable in the event of damage or theft.
  2. Will be responsible for providing their own decorations and supplies (i.e., spike tape).
  3. Will be respectful of staff in the building and will keep noise to a minimum, as the building is a workplace.
  4. Will hire security staff if required by La Troupe du Jour.
  5. Will not smoke or light any fire (including candles). Certified fog machines may be permitted.
  6. Will not use glitter in the building.
  7. No screws, nails, or holes are permitted in the floor of Studio 914.
  8. Will return all keys or key cards within 24 hours of the end of the rental and will pay all fees as soon as possible.
  9. Will be responsible for any copyright licences required for their event.
  10. Will return the rented spaces, floors, janitor’s room, brushes, rollers, etc. in the same orderly and clean condition as at the start of the rental period.
  11. Will not use substances with strong odours (i.e., spray paint), even with the garage door open.
  12. Will access only the spaces specified in the contract.
  13. Agrees to comply with all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations applicable to their rental.
  14. Will include La Troupe du Jour’s name and logo (provided by the Production Centre Coordinator) on any promotional materials related to activities taking place at the Production Centre and Studio 914.

The renter agrees that:

  1. No abusive or disorderly behaviour will be tolerated.
  2. Computers, the photocopier, and other office equipment are not included in the rental. (Use of the printer/photocopier will incur an additional cost.)
  3. Failure to comply with any of these conditions may result in termination of this agreement without refund of the deposit, and refusal of future rentals.

La Troupe du Jour reserves the right to:

  1. Enter the rented spaces when they are unoccupied.
  2. Rent other available spaces provided that such rentals do not disrupt other renters’ activities.

Cancellations

  1. The renter may cancel this contract up to 21 days before the rental date to receive a full refund.
  2. For any cancellation made 7 to 20 days before the scheduled rental date, La Troupe du Jour will retain 50% of the deposit.
  3. For any cancellation made less than 7 days before the scheduled rental date, La Troupe du Jour will retain 100% of the deposit.
  4. La Troupe du Jour reserves the right to cancel this contract at any time without penalty. The renter will be refunded any deposit or fees already paid.
  5. If this contract is cancelled for reasons beyond the control of La Troupe du Jour and the renter, caused by an act of public authorities, war, emergency, riot, epidemic, ecological disaster, or other emergencies, neither party will be held liable and the renter will receive a full refund.

The renter may be subject to the following additional fees:

  1. $30 per hour if additional cleaning is required.
  2. 1.5 times the hourly rental rate if the spaces are not vacated as indicated in the contract.
  3. The cost of repairs/replacements if the renter or their guests cause damage to the building or La Troupe du Jour’s property.
  4. An increase in the rental fee if the booking is made less than 14 days before the event.

FAQ — RENTING OUR ROOMS

Which room is best suited to my event?

It all depends on your activity and the number of people expected. The conference room is particularly well suited to meetings and small groups, the multi-purpose room offers greater flexibility for workshops, rehearsals, and events, while the Ian C. Nelson Studio is ideal for performances, large rehearsals, and events requiring stage space. Our team can help you choose the space that best meets your needs.

Rates vary depending on the space selected, the rental duration, the type of activity, and your technical needs. To receive an estimate, contact us at info@latroupedujour.ca. Reduced rates are also available for non-profit organizations.

Capacity varies depending on the room and its configuration. The conference room can accommodate approximately 12 people, the multi-purpose room approximately 40 people, and the Ian C. Nelson Studio up to approximately 90 people. We can advise you on the configuration best suited to your event.

Our spaces can accommodate a wide variety of activities: meetings, training sessions, rehearsals, workshops, performances, readings, community gatherings, celebrations, and other events. Tell us about your project and we can help you determine the space and configuration that are right for you.

Yes. You may book an appointment to visit our spaces and discuss your needs with our team. Contact us to arrange a time that works for you.

Absolutely! Whether you are using a catering service or organizing a potluck, you are welcome to bring your own food.

Our kitchen is also available to you: counter space, refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The stove may be used to reheat pre-cooked dishes, but no on-site cooking is permitted.

Yes. All public spaces on the main floor are accessible to people using wheelchairs or mobility aids, with the exception of the tech booth. The second floor is not accessible by elevator, but it does not include any spaces open to the public.

Two washrooms have stalls that can accommodate a wheelchair. For easier access to the sink, we recommend using the washroom located near the urinal.

If you have specific accessibility needs, please do not hesitate to contact our team before your visit.

Yes. Street parking around the Production Centre is free, but some restrictions apply depending on the location.

On our side of 20th Street, parking is limited to 2 hours. If you park there, we ask that you leave enough space near Nestor’s bakery to facilitate access for its customers and delivery vehicles.

Parking is free with no time limit on the other side of the street, as well as on Avenues I and J and on 20th Street between Avenues H and I.

Please follow posted signage and avoid parking at bus stops or in private parking lots.

Do you have mobility needs? Contact our team before you arrive and we can reserve a spot near the entrance to the Production Centre.

Access to our kitchen may be offered with your rental. You may use the counter space, refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The stove may be used to reheat pre-prepared dishes, but no on-site cooking is permitted.

Yes, but our quantities of dishes and utensils are limited. We therefore recommend bringing your own to ensure you have enough for all your guests.

We have a larger number of mugs and glasses, which we can generally make available depending on the number of people present.

As in many urban neighbourhoods, we recommend taking a few precautions during your visit. In particular, avoid leaving valuables visible in your vehicle and make sure it is locked.

If you are arriving by bike, ask our team: depending on available space, it may be possible to store your bike inside the Centre.

After sunset, if you would like to be accompanied to your vehicle, please do not hesitate to speak with a member of our team. We will do our best to assist you.

If you are travelling with a pet, please contact us in advance to learn about the conditions for access to the Centre.

Yes, except that our Technical Director must be included at least during load-in and load-out.

Your technician may handle technical operations during your show or event.

21 days or more before the event = full refund of the deposit.

7–20 days before your event = 50% refund of the deposit.

Less than 7 days before your event = 100% of the deposit is forfeited.

We provide approximately 90 chairs, as well as:

  • 12 round tables, seating up to 6 people each;
  • 4 rectangular tables approximately 6 ft long;
  • 6 navy blue tablecloths and 6 burgundy tablecloths, provided at no extra cost.

Most of our chairs are slightly padded grey folding chairs. We also have padded blue chairs with armrests.

If you would like tablecloths in a specific colour or a uniform colour for all tables, you will need to arrange to rent them.
