SUMMARY:Southern Dandy 75 by Live Five
DESCRIPTION:Written by Andrew Taylor\, directed by Kenn McLeod\, and produced by Buttered Ghost Theatre\, the play is presented as part of Live Five’s season. \nOctober 15 to 25\, 2026\, at Studio Ian C. Nelson\, Saskatoon \nThe 10-year anniversary of one of Live Five’s most infamous productions!\nSouthern Dandy 75 is the ‘old timey story of Two Boxcar Hobos\, who unwittingly find themselves in possession of the finest and rarest bourbon whiskey – The Southern Dandy 75. With craft\, honey tongued rhetoric and the help of an unexpected alliance\, the two hobos make off with the entire supply. \nNaturally\, their pleasant Sunday afternoon soon derails as the two fellows find themselves on the run from all manner of dangerous and surly adversaries. Meanwhile\, it’s election day\, and the fate of the town rests in the decision between ‘mostly good’ and ‘just plain villainous’. \nSouthern Dandy 75 is a comedy of a fanciful nature\, fuelled by adventure\, poetry\, music and booze. \nLa Troupe du Jour thanks Live Five and Buttered Ghost Theatre for choosing to rent our space to present their production of Southern Dandy 75.
