Marie-Claire Marcotte
Autrice et metteuse en scène // Writer and Director
Marie-Claire est une autrice, metteuse en scène et actrice originaire de Régina et maintenant basée à Toronto et où la vie l’amène. Ayant participé à diverses résidences d’écriture au Canada, en Belgique et en France, à ce jour, elle a écrit trois pièces de théâtre; Coffre-fort, Peau, Flush, et a participé à l’idéation et à la co-écriture de plusieurs textes scéniques et télévisuels. Deux de ses œuvres (dont Flush) sont publiées aux Éditions L’Interligne et ont été primées au Canada et en France. Sa scénarisation a été reconnue notamment au Prix Écrans canadiens, au Los Angeles Film Awards et à la Webfest Berlin. La majorité de ses mises en scènes ont été de nature in situ et influencées par une logique cinématographique. Ses réalisations peuvent être visionnées en ligne (notamment la chaîne TFO) et elle signera la réalisation de son premier long-métrage Rêver en néon en 2022; une adaptation de sa pièce Flush. À travers sa compagnie Fittonia Films, Marie-Claire collabore avec multiples équipes dans le développement et la création d’œuvres théâtrales et cinématographiques. Éternellement émerveillée par les oiseaux, elle adore le son du pic-bois qui tape sur les arbres tout comme le cri distinctif du huard.
// Marie-Claire is a writer, director and actor originally from Regina and now based in Toronto or wherever life takes her. Having participated in various writing residencies in Canada, Belgium and France, she has written three plays to date; Coffre-fort, Peau, Flush and participated in the creation and co-writing of several theatre and television scripts. Two of her works (including Flush) are published by Éditions L’Interligne and have won awards in Canada and France. Her screenwriting has been recognized at the Canadian Screen Awards, Los Angeles Film Awards and Webfest Berlin, among others. The majority of her directing was in situ in nature and influenced by a cinematographic point of view. Her productions can be viewed online (notably the TFO channel) and she will direct her first feature film Rêver en Néon in 2022; an adaptation of Flush. Through her company Fittonia Films, Marie-Claire collaborates with multiple people in the development and creation of theatrical and cinematographic works. She will always be amazed by birds, the sound of the woodpecker pecking on the trees, as well as the distinctive cry of the loon.
Geneviève Langlois

Geneviève est originaire de Montréal, où elle a été diplômé de l’option théâtre de St-Hyacinthe en 1986.
Au Théâtre français de Toronto elle a joué dans L’invitation au Château, Les précieuses ridicules, Tartuffe, La critique de l’école des femmes, Feu de la mère Madame, Portrait chinois d’une imposteure. On a aussi pu la voir dans, Tout comme elle (Brigitte Haentjens, Sibyllines), et Orange mécanique (Tandem,Mtl), Serpent kills (Crow’s theatre) Dali (Crow’s theatre) Flowers (Grand théâtre) Fou (Michel Kennard, John Turner). Et tout dernièrement , “Mme Smith”, dans la Cantatrice Chauve de Ionesco, mise en scène par Chanda Gibson.
Geneviève fait aussi partie de la nouvelle série “Les Eaux Turbulentes” réalisé par Lyne Charlebois, qui était diffusé à Radio-Canada, en avril 2020.

CHANDA GIBSON
Dans le rôle de Corinne // Playing the role of Corinne
Chanda, comédienne et artiste polyvalente franco-ontarienne, est une graduée du
Département de théâtre de l’université d’Ottawa (2004). Depuis, elle oeuvre autant au théâtre, qu’au petit écran.
En tant que comédienne, Chanda a eu la chance de participer à de nombreuses tournées théâtrales. Celles-ci l’ont permises de promouvoir le théâtre franco-ontarien d’un bout du pays à l’autre, passant par le sud de l’Ontario, jusqu’à la côte ouest de Vancouver. De plus, c’est avec iShow (Les petites cellules chaudes, Mtl) qu’elle a eu l’occasion de jouer sur de nombreuses scènes nationales en France.
Récemment, Chanda s’est démarquée en tant que metteure en scène. À l’automne 2019, Chanda signa la mise en scène du texte absurde d’Eugène Ionesco, La Cantatrice chauve, au Théâtre français de Toronto.
Cet hiver, c’est un retour aux planches dans Flush de Marie-Claire Marcotte.
// Chanda, is a Franco-ontarian actor and versatile artist. This graduate of the
University of Ottawa (2004)has since been working as much in theatre as on the small screen.
As an actress, Chanda has been lucky enough to participate in many theatrical tours. These have allowed her to promote Franco-Ontarian theatre from one part of the country to another, from southern Ontario to the west coast of Vancouver. With iShow (Les petites cellules chaudes, Mtl) she has also had the opportunity to perform on many national stages in France.
Recently, Chanda has stood out as a Director. In the fall of 2019, Chanda directs the absurd text of Eugène Ionesco, La Cantatrice Chauve, at the Théâtre français de Toronto.
This winter she returns to the stage in Flush by Marie-Claire Marcotte.

Felix est un comédien, musicien, chanteur et compositeur. On le reconnait pour son travail en Saskatchewan au Persephone Theatre, au Globe Theatre, au Dancing Sky Theatre, au Station Arts Theatre, au Rhubarb Theatre et au Wide Open Children’s Theatre. Il est ravi de faire ses débuts à La Troupe du Jour, ainsi que ses débuts au théâtre francophone.

Felix is an actor, musician, singer, and composer. He’s worked in Saskatchewan at Persephone, Globe Theatre, Dancing Sky Theatre, Station Arts Theatre, Rhubarb Theatre, and Wide Open Children’s Theatre, and is excited to make his Troupe debut, as well as his French theatre debut.
Hannah Forest Briand

Hannah est une artiste bilingue de la ville de Québec. Elle est une récente graduée de l’école de théâtre de George Brown à Toronto. Après avoir participé à plusieurs projets de télévision et cinéma, elle a très hâte de retourner au théâtre dans son rôle de La Petite.
// Hannah is a bilingual artist from Quebec City. She’s a recent graduate of George Brown’s Drama School in Toronto. After participating in several television and film projects, she is very excited to return to the theatre in her role of The Little One.
Gabrielle Dufresne

Gabrielle Dufresne est une artiste pluri-disciplinaire Fransaskoise originaire de Regina. Elle est diplomée l’Université de Regina ainsi que le Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Lorsqu’elle n’est pas sur scène ou en train de planifier son prochain projet, Gabrielle tient le poste de coordinatrice du programme scolaire à La Troupe du Jour. Elle est très heureuse de pouvoir mettre son chapeau de régie pour ce superbe spectacle qu’est Flush, et remercie toute son équipe pour leurs incroyables efforts et leur détermination.
// Gabrielle Dufresne is a Fransaskois multidisciplinary artist from Regina. She is a graduate of the University of Regina as well as the Royal Conservatory of Scotland. When she’s not on stage or planning her next project, Gabrielle holds the position of school program coordinator at La Troupe du Jour. She is very happy to be able to put on her management hat for this superb show that is Flush, and thanks her entire team for their incredible efforts and determination.
Taegan O'Bertos

Taegan O’Bertos (elle) est une artiste multidisciplinaire de Saskatoon. Son travail le plus récent comprend la conception/construction de marionnettes et la conception graphique pour The Otherside of the River de Theatre in the Park (Sum Theatre, 2021), la conception de costumes et de projections pour Reasonable Doubt (Persephone Theatre, 2020) et la conception/construction de marionnettes pour l’expérience théâtrale itinérante de Turn, Turn, Turn… (Sum Theatre, 2020). Le travail de conception de Taegan l’a poussé à de tels rôle comme chef des accessoires à l’Université de la Saskatchewan et assistante de production au Persephone Theatre. Elle a également travaillé dans d’autres veines artistiques tels que conceptrice de marionnettes d’ombre, conceptrice d’affiches et artiste de peinture corporelle. Taegan a son chapeau de réflexion et est prête à créer, innover et intégrer la conscience de la sécurité dans ses projets à venir !
// Taegan O’Bertos (she/her) is an multi-disciplinary artist from Saskatoon. Her most recent work includes Puppet design/build & graphic design for Theatre in the Park’s The Otherside of the River (Sum Theatre, 2021), costume and projection design for Reasonable Doubt (Persephone Theatre, 2020), and Puppet design/build for the traveling theater experience of Turn, Turn, Turn…(Sum Theatre, 2020).Taegan’s design work has led to positions such as Head of Props at the University of Saskatchewan, and Production Assistant at Persephone Theatre. She has also found artistic outlets such as Shadow Puppet Builder, poster artist, and body painting artist. Taegan has her thinking mask on and is ready to create, innovate, and integrate safety consciousness into her upcoming projects!

Vers la fin de son Bac en Studio Art, Brooklynn est tombée sur le programme de conception dramatique à l’Université de la Saskatchewan et est immédiatement tombée amoureuse. Le décor, les costumes, la conception sonore, sont ses points forts, mais elle est formée et s’intéresse à tous les aspects de la conception scénique. Bien douée dans tous, de l’animation à la conception graphique, Brooklynn possède les compétences numériques nécessaires pour faire entrer le théâtre dans l’ère moderne.
// Near the end of her BA in Studio Art, Brooklynn stumbled across the University of Saskatchewan Drama Design program, and instantly fell in love Set, Costume, and Sound Design are her fortes, but she is trained and interested in all aspects of scenic design. Well versed in anything from animation to graphic design, Brooklynn has the digital skill set to bring theatre into the modern age of innovation.

Judith Schulz (elle) est une conceptrice de théâtre et une praticienne passionnée par la création théâtrale en utilisant de nouvelles technologies ainsi que le mouvement pour conter une histoire. Elle travaille actuellement avec SATP en tant que coordinatrice des communications et d’engagement et est membre fondatrice de SightLine Designs. Après Flush vous pourrez être témoin de son travail au Persephone Theatre dans The Revolutionists.

Rory Jewiss (Il / Lui) a grandi en construisant des créations élaborées à partir de briques LEGO. Aujourd’hui il essaie de prendre cet esprit créatif et d’en faire une carrière. Rory est le plus dans son élément lorsqu’il crée quelque chose, qu’il s’agisse de meubles, d’une maquette complexe ou d’un modèle numérique destiné à l’impression 3D. Il porte habituellement plusieurs chapeaux, alors gardez un œil sur lui où qu’il apparaisse !
// Rory Jewiss (He/Him) grew up building elaborate creations out of LEGO bricks and now he is trying to take that creative spirit and make it into a career. Rory is most in his element when he is making something, be it furniture, an intricate maquette, or digital model meant for 3D printing. He usually has fingers in several different pies, so keep an eye out for his work wherever it appears!

Shavaun Liss

Originaire de Saskatoon et formée à Edmonton, Shavaun fait les surtitres en anglais pour les théâtres de langue française depuis 2008. Elle a commencé à travailler avec La Troupe du Jour en 2012 et a travaillé sur plusieurs pièces communautaires et professionnelles chaque saison.
// Originally from Saskatoon and trained in Edmonton, Shavaun has been doing English surtitles for French language theatre since 2008. She began working with La Troupe du Jour in 2012 and has worked on several community or professional plays each season.
